Funding Goal reached for the Mural

The goal has been reached for the mural. This is fantastic. I started today with cleaning and scrapping off old paint. I actually got the first coat of Prime-All one the wall so tomorrow I can paint the second coat. There is supposed to be a number of rainy days this coming week so my efforts may be on hold until a stretch of dry weather comes along, but I'll be ready.

Potluck Fundraiser for the Mural Project

The mural project went public last week. There has been encouraging support from people in the community. Also launched is a GoFundMe site, after interest to donate came from folks that no longer live in Nevada. http://www.gofundme.com/NevadaIowaMural There will also be a community potluck with a Veteran supplying the music, the local Firemen putting up a bouncy house for kids, bubbles, sidewalk chalk art, hoola hoops, good conversation and more.  And there will be a mural donation box. Brick House

I have added another project to my list, a promotional piece for a local parade. The parade is for late August, but I am taking advantage of the nice weather and getting it done early. Today I am painting the anti mold primer on.
